On the last Saturday in May, the brewery courtyard in Port 1560 was the place where we like beer the most – meeting people. The Day of Regional Breweries brought brewers, brewers, guests and visitors from all over the region to Český Krumlov and brought together honest craft, good mood and love for beer in one place.
During the afternoon and evening, visitors could taste beers from eight regional breweries that brought the best of their production to Krumlov this year. There was also Rogendorf 10, our festival beer brewed for this year’s 10th anniversary of the brewery. Thus, different beer styles, stories and approaches to craft met in the courtyard, which together showed the diversity of contemporary regional brewing.
One of the highlights of the programme was the Beer Relay, which this year made history with a new record. One hundred Krumlovers rose to the common challenge and created a performance that showed not only competitiveness, but above all the desire to be part of something common. Moreover, the relay was marked by Rogendorf 10, a festival beer brewed to celebrate the 10th anniversary of our brewery.
We were very pleased with the participation of all eight breweries, partners, volunteers and visitors who helped create an atmosphere that we will remember for a long time. Thank you to everyone who came, supported the regional brewing industry and showed that good beer still has the unique ability to bring people together across generations.
This year’s Day of Regional Breweries also symbolically closed the second year of the Český Krumlov Beer Festival. And if we are to take one memory away from it, it is the sight of a courtyard full of people who came to enjoy good beer, pleasant company and the atmosphere that only a shared experience can create.
