The International Beer Festival, which is annually considered one of the most prestigious beer festivals in the Czech Republic, this year again brought unforgettable success for the Historický pivovar Český Krumlov. Our Krumlov 11 pale lager took 3rd place in the competition part of this important event.
About the competition
The International Beer Festival 2025 welcomed 243 breweries from 11 countries and a total of 1,158 beer samples were evaluated. Every year, this competition is the place where the world’s leading brewers compete, and therefore a great deal of competition. We appreciate our position among the best all the more, which is a great success for us.
The festival focuses on beer quality and innovation in the brewing industry. The judging is rigorous, which is why we appreciate this success all the more.
The award was received by the brewery’s brewmaster Dagmar Vlková
At the ceremony in the beautiful Gothic castle in Litoměřice, which took place as part of the festival programme, our brewer, Dagmar Vlková, received the award. Her experience and care in brewing beer is the basis of our success. Dagmar and the entire team at Český Krumlov Brewery are constantly striving to ensure that every beer that leaves our brewery is not only of high quality, but also original and balanced.
What does this award mean for our brewery?
This award is not only a triumph for our brewery, but also a confirmation that quality Czech beer has a firm place in the international scene. Once again, we have become part of a wide and prestigious competition, where it has been shown that our Krumlov 11 pale lager has not lost out even in such strong competition.
This 3rd place in the competition is a huge motivation for us to continue our work and to constantly improve. With this award comes a challenge for the next year – to keep the quality bar high and to offer our brewers, above all, a good drinkability of beer that will reflect the tradition and innovation of our brewery.
